Hannah Hughes
Soprano

After recently graduating with First Class Honours from the Guildhall’s BMus (Hons) programme in Classical Vocal Studies, Hannah is in her first year of a Master of Performance degree at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where she is generously supported by the Nicky Spence Scholarship and the Countess of Munster Musical Trust.
Her recent operatic engagements include covering the role of Iolanthe and performing in the chorus for Ethel Smyth’s Der Wald in Guildhall’s Autumn Opera (2025), taking part in In This House – a set of opera scenes with Glass Light Productions, performed in London, Newcastle, and Saint-Paul-de-Vence (2025).
She has also sung L’Eternità in Cavalli’s La Calisto and Dorinda in Handel’s Orlando as part of the Historical Performance Scenes at Milton Court Concert Hall (2025). Ellen Orford in Britten’s Peter Grimes and Rosalinde in Strauss’s Die Fledermaus in an opera scenes performance in the Milton Court Concert Hall (2024), as well as Pamina and Second Knaben in a production of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte(2024).
Solo choral performances include, Vivaldi Gloria and Handel’s Dixit Dominus with the Cheltenham Bach Choir at Tewkesbury Abbey, Mendelssohn’s Elijah with Opus 48 Choir (2025), Bach Magnificat with Cheltenham Bach Choir (2024), Mozart Requiem (2024), Bach Magnificat (2024) and Deruflé Requiem (2023) during her time as Soprano Scholar with the Esterhazy Singers.
Hannah has also performed solo recitals at venues across the UK, including St Matthew’s, Bethnal Green (2025), St Lawrence Jewry (2025), Muncaster Castle (2024), the British Home Concert Hall (2024), and the Copleston Centre (2023).
Upcoming engagements include playing the role of Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte with Glass Light Productions (2026).
