Dursley Male Voice Choir
is
Simple really. Or is it? The choir numbers some 90 members, practices for only 100 hrs a year, performs around 15 concerts a year and is composed of four different sections! The choir performs entirely without music and raises thousands for charity. All of this takes not only committed members, but a hard working committee working in the background to ensure its success. The Music Team of Dursley Male Voice Choir provides expert guidance and coaching, also writing and arranging music especially for the choir. Joining the choir Any man can join the choir. Contact a member of the committee and come along to one of our Wednesday evening practice sessions. After singing within the choir for a few weeks, you'll have to take a voice test to ensure you're singing in the right section and can sing in tune. You don't have to be able to read music nor have perfect pitch, just be willing to take part, practice and (importantly) learn the words. We meet on Wednesday evenings, 7:30PM - 9:30PM at the Methodist Church, Castle Street, Dursley Soon we will post a page explaining a little about Male Voice Choirs and how they work. |
